About Me
I believe in stories. The camera and the written word are the tools I use.

I was born in England and grew up in Australia. Over the last 12 years I have lived in Thailand, Singapore and obscure spaces in the mind. I take photographs, write stories and draw pictures to avoid shopping and television. I live in Singapore.

Stories

"Stories are fundamental to human life. I think we need stories as much as we need food and air and water and sleep, because stories are the way we organise reality. Reality is a thunderous cacophony of millions of impressions surging in on us at every moment. By isolating fragments of that invasion, and being able to articulate them and then link them over time, which is what a story does, we are enabled to think about ourselves in the present, in the past, in the future. Without stories, we literally wouldn't be able to live."

Paul Auster

One of my short stories, Death Of A Clown, was published in the  Quarterly Literary Review Singapore in April 2012.

In April 2011 another of my stories, Coast aka 'A Long Bicyle Ride Into The Sea', was inspiration for a brilliant print by Zxerokool for the Ceriph Synthaesia exhibition at the Substation. This story was  published in the mono-titular anthology of Singapore Writing, Coast, in October 2011 (edited by Daren Shiau & Wei Fen Lee.

Another of my short stories, We Rose Up Slowly, was published in the wonderful Singaporean Literary Journal Ceriph, Issue No One in September 2010.
